What is the relationship between health and spirituality?

From my perspective there is a direct connection between health and spirituality (relationship with Divine Love).  We are not just biological in nature.  We are body, mind and spirit (mind encompassing mental/thinking and emotional/feeling).  All of these aspects are interconnected. We function as a whole.  We heal as a whole.

Health is not merely the absence of disease, it is a balance of all the different layers of one's life; transforming individuals from within; from the intelligence of the heart.

Laurie, Goo Morning!  A sensible way of expressing the nature of a Human Being.  With out the soul in attendence, we are not much more than highly trained animals.  To be truly human, we have to recognize the fact that we are much more than the bag of skin and bones we occupy and the mind that drives the motor skills to operate it.   Our Spiritual outlook gives us access to so many different aspects of health, physical, mental and Spiritual, that when meshed form the complete Body.  A body at odds with one or more of it's components will surely suffer some ill affects.  Better to be in accord, and enjoy good health.
Granted, it is often more involved than we would like to be with our bodies, many of us rush hither and yon, just hoping things will continue to hold up and hold out….and here I stand with a sore back!   LOL!

“Our Spiritual outlook gives us access to so many different aspects of health, physical, mental and Spiritual, that when meshed form the complete Body.”  Sandi, that's an excellent way of saying it!

How is Miss Faith doing?  When will you actually get to “see” her next?

I'm going to a baby shower brunch this late morning/early afternoon.  I'm looking forward to it!

Hello Wael - it's morning for me, but I believe it's late afternoon/evening for you.  Like you, I read the question of the day and then practice Tai Chi while I mull over my answer.  When I'm done, I type out my answer, post a photograph that helps to support what I've said …

… and then I settle in with a cuppa tea and have an enjoyable read of what everyone else has posted.  I'm glad that my answer resonated with you.

Laurie, Faith, as always, seems to be in the “pink” of health and well-being.  She is now in the economy block of her study program and is moving right along, her management experience is a great help to her there.  She has also moved from town to the Organic Farm where she has been working and is helping put the orchard to bed for the winter.
That has really got to be exciting for you, to see this new little being, developing right before your very eyes.  You will have to be the “Fairy Godmother” and gift this child with all the Finer Blessings in your cupboard.  I love Baby Showers simply because they are so full of promise.
I'm going into work at 12:00 and be there till 6:00, at short day.  I'm through with ladders, my back is having fits and I don't know what my Spiritual life has to do with it, unless, of course, it was all the bad words and evil thoughts I entertained while clinging and teetering way off the ground yesterday.  I can drive a nail with the best of them but prefer to do standing with both feet on the floor.   Job looks nice though, I'll get some pictures and post them later…
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the Shower, they're always fun and you leave thinking, Thank God it's not me.

Sandi - I'm glad to know that Faith is in the “pink” of health – that's a grand way of putting it!  I guess you could say I'm Faerie Godmother to several wee ones – many who are now taller than me!

About your back – Get some epsom salts and take a nice long soak in the tub.  The whole point of the external use of salt in health is to draw out pain.  People have been journeying to bodies of salt water (ocean, dead sea, etc) for thousands of years for the purpose of drawing out pain.

I'll enjoy seeing the photographs of the way the store is decorated for the holidays.  Noon to 6pm will be nice.  Make it a great day!

Alfred Adler, (1870-1937), who initially studied medicine, recognized that a religious belief system is supportive of a healthy life-style that could result in healthy outcomes in the clinical context. Adler's Individual Psychology strives for holistic outcomes and develops a life-style that reinforces healthy relationships. These relationships preserve and promote health in the clinical context for both patient and care-giver.

Bhatta - That's the amazing thing about it.  It's not just for the client, but for the caregiver too.  It's extraordinary!  Thank you for planting seeds here today, friend.

Bhatta - Your HeartLight is obvious even from this great geographic distance.  I can well imagine that being near your personal energy signature is healing in and of itself.  And then when you give by intent, it comes right back (boomerang style) and enhances your energy all over again; keeping your well full and overflowing.

Hi, Laurie, how did the shower go?  I hope the new, little person is well outfitted for his/her arrival.
It was a better day than I anticipated, I was truly grateful.  The Barn is so busy on weekends that I can't get much real work done, so I straightened and restocked my ribbon racks, Fall ribbons gone, Holidays ribbons up and ready for use.My back is feeling much better, the lighter work load today has helped free up some tight muscles, now I am ready to eat and crash.  I am off tomorrow and Tuesday, Thank You, Jesus!  I may do some serious loafering. Well, a little housework wouldn't hurt….

Sandi - I shared a bit about the shower on your blog.  I'm glad that you're off Monday and Tuesday – that will give you time to get pain-free.  Busy at work is nice though – job security and time flys!  Tomorrow I'm sending off a query letter and Len's going to teach me to create .pdf files (he's tired of doing it for me).  His teaching style and my learning style are from two different planets so it could prove to be interesting …  I hope that “loafering” for you doesn't meaning canning 50 quarts of something.  I hope you can sit like a bump on a log and just “be.”

Don't you have Vista?  I thought you said you did, I took my classes in Windows XP 2002 and none of what I struggled so hard to learn works with Vista.  I feel like I should go back to school, but now 7 is coming out so I'll just wait until I'm totally obsolete.  I'll take my down time and glad to do it. It'll be nice tomorrow so I'll spend a lot of time outside, I've got things to do.  But Tuesday the hurricane is passing through and I may take a page from your book and stay in my sweats all day.  That sounds heavenly.

Nope, not me - I do not have Vista.  “Tell her you have XP, service pack 3” (Len telling me to tell you what I have).  I think you and I were talking one day about Internet Explorer and Safari web browsers (I have both).

You're expecting a hurricane?!  Jeez Louise!  Sweats and a good book all day sound like ingredients for a perfect recipe!  I'm heading to bed now.  I'm “test driving” a piece of of blue kyanite and a piece of rainbow moonstone.  I'm going to lay there awhile to see what I think/feel about the combination of their energy.  Have a great evening!

Jeannie - Yes.  Always.  The sun's energy is more mansuline and physical.  I prefer the energy of the moon; it's energy is more feminine and intuitive.

Hi Laurie,

I can't say that I hold a preference between sun energy and moon energy; I enjoy them both equally.  However, one of the first teachers I had was moon energy.  In my mid-twenties, I used to go out at night and work out at the school across the street.  Between sets, I would stand and gaze at the moon while breathing deeply.  It was a wonderfully sensual relationship!

I kinda achieve this through bathing in dead sea salts. It's really a balance of taking care of your self inside and out, body and soul =)
