I guess when we join the Buddhist Club, we regard impermanence as the new permanence.

” … we regard impermanence as the new permanence.”
Well said, my friend.
He will never give your more than your can bear. There is the mind's protection mechanism within and we have the ability to heal each other and ourselves. Thank goodness for attitude and love…and especially friends like you.
When, it all gets too much, I cling to that thought, because it has always happened, whatever passed and yet I still stand. A little more weathered perhaps, but still standing. Love that photo, reminds me of Kentucky. Is this some of your area?
Hi Sandi -
This is an early morning shot that was taken about 15 miles inland from my sister's home in Cardiff by the Sea, California.
hear hear. :-)
I love the balance in this photo and in its beauty I also know that in every second that scene will have visibly changed. At high noon it is harder to see the changes but they are still happening. Nature is a wonderful reminder about the passage of time and the permanence of impermanence.
Though this is an early morning photo it is nice to visit at the end of my day… reminding me - with luck, there is a tomorrow. thank you Laurie
Oh, well, I was only 3/4 of a continent away! lol Still, a very peaceful, and pleasing view.
'This to shall pass'. Does that include kidney stones?

You are now the second person (Sandi being the first) who has made me laugh unexpectedly. Hence, shooting tea out my nose while enjoying my morning cuppa!
Throw out that Neti pot! This way it's like when your parents pulled a tooth with a string and doornob, it's the slamming door that took you off guard, and lo and behold! A tooth dangling at the end of the string! Of course, it's the anticipation that causes the deal-breaker. Gabe, then you can name it, put it on your keychain to amaze and horrify your friends.
