When you feel tense or stressed, what do you do to relax?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 28, 2009:
Depending on the situation, I either focus on my breathing; get out amongst the trees; or go on a hike. If I just want to relax, I read with a cuppa tea.
Today is my 52nd birthday. I slept in and I'm relaxed. I head to a birthday brunch shortly. After that, I'm off on a wee bit of an adventure ...

Happy Birthday Laurie!!!!!!
You deserve an adventure………
Blessings to you!
Alright, Ms. Priss, get out there and shine! I will make no jokes about candles, your smiling face would light up an auditorium. I was in my 50's before I ever had the courage to take off on my own for extended adventures. I wish I had started earlier, but better late than never. The Happiest of Birthdays to You!
Kim - Thank you for the birthday wishes! Have a grand week yourself – knowing full-well that we'll talk again on Wednesday.
Sandi - always, Always, ALWAYS better late than never! But you know what? You needed those other experiences (the ingredients of them) to make you precisely who you are today. And that someone is a rare and precious gem! Thank you for the birthday wishes, friend.
happy happy birthday!
Thank you for stopping by with birthday wishes, Nicole.
What a lovely lady. Happy birthday to you. God is blessing you now. Your wonderful. Laurie, I guess I haven't told you before how much I appreciate you but I consider you to be a wise and wonderful person. Please have a joyous and long life.
Awe Shucks, Carlton! Thank you so much for your lovely words. I don't know how long my life will be – but you can count on the fact that it will continue to be joyous. You see, I choose joy. Hands down, no exceptions. Each and every day I choose joy.
God gave a gift to the world when you were born—
a person who loves, who cares,
who sees a person’s need and fills it,
who encourages and lifts people up,
who spends energy on others
rather than herself,
someone who touches each life she enters,
and makes a difference in the world,
because ripples of kindness flow outward
as each person you have touched, touches others.
Your birthday deserves to be a national holiday,
because you are a special treasure
for all that you’ve done.
May the love you have shown to others
return to you, multiplied.
I wish you the happiest of birthdays,
and many, many more,
so that others have time to appreciate you
as much as I do.

Happy Birthday Laurie. Hope your adventure is a uplifting one today!
THANK YOU each and every one of your for these wonderful birthday wishes and greetings – THANK YOU.
I did, indeed, have myself a birthday adventure. You can see it HERE. Bear in mind that while I was taking photographs, it was 55-degrees and the wind was whipping hard enough to give a wedgie! As we were tramping about, I asked Spirit for a “sign” as a birthday gift. When we came to a clearning, I received a bit of magic … Understand this, there is NO explanation for what we saw in the geographic location that we saw it – NONE. They are common in other geographic locations such as on a ranch or a farm, but NOT here. Deer, fox, coyote, any manner of wildlife, but NOT what we saw in this location. Enjoy!
I am catching up to your wonderful ecstatic exteriorizing blogs.
I am celebrating your birthday for this whole month I feel - re birthing each new day. Those flowers smell good & are so perky with you holding them. Happy happy, joy joy… to life!
